How does Photo Genesis work?

The procedure uses Intelligent Pulsed Light technology to target the hyperpigmentation on the top layer of the skin - the epidermas. It is a quick procedure that involves only a few pinches. Your face will be slightly red afterwards for an hour or so but you can return to your normal activities straight away. At the same time as the Photogenesis procedure, for more advanced treatment of diffuse facial redness, the Laser Genesis procedure targets the deeper layer of skin.

How long will the treatment take?

The actual treatment will only take a few minutes. And, since there is no need to apply gel or any topical anesthetic, your total appointment time can easily fit within your lunch hour.

What happens after the treatment?

Immediately following the treatment, the spots may start to darken. You may notice a slight reddening of the surrounding skin. This typically subsides within a couple of hours. Over the course of the next one to three weeks, darkened spots will fade and flake off. Your complexion will clear and become more creamy and radiant.

When will I see results?

Many patients see significant improvement within two to three weeks of treatment. Your complexion will be clearer and younger looking. However, your final result may not be apparent for a month or more.

What do treatments feel like?
